Description: Great fun for ukulele players of all abilities.
The Ukulele group was formed in 2013 by husband and wife team Pete and Cis. It is a ukulele group that caters for both beginners and experts. We offer free tuition for beginners. Our aim is to enjoy our club nights with music that we play from our vast and ever increasing song book.
We play for charitable events. No charge is made for our time but we do ask for a donation. All monies raised, goes to the “Honeypot Children’s Charity”.
Several times a month, a smaller group of 10 – 20, play for care homes and residential homes. For larger venues, most of the group turn out; fetes, parties, church fund raising events, music festivals plus any charity that wishes to use us to help raise funds for their particular charity. We have raised over £12,000 so far.
What is our age range? Welllllll, that is a best kept secret!!!! We are a fun loving group of over forty players. If you would like to join, play, learn how to play a ukulele, then come along to our club meeting. This is held on the last Friday of each month, 7pm in the Memorial Centre. You will be made very welcome and you do not need a ukulele to start with, as we always have loan ones. (It is best to call first if you require a loan ukulele).
If you would like to borrow a ukulele, require tuition (one to one or small group) or would like any more information, please contact Pete on 01425 621831. or e-mail: email@example.com
